City of Callaway Closes Facility Lobbies

Callaway, Florida – On Monday, March 23, 2020, the City of Callaway will close its facility lobbies to the public until further notice, following direction from the governor and the Florida Department of Health to limit potential exposure to COVID-19. Services provided out of these facilities will remain available to the public via phone at (850) 871-6000, online and in person by appointment.

Lobby closings include:

• City Hall/Customer Service/Utility Billing (850) 871-6000
• Building/Permitting (850) 874-9347
• Code Enforcement (850) 871-4672
• Public Works (850) 871-1033
• Fire Department – 911 for emergencies, (850) 871-5300
• Arts & Conference Center & Community Center (850) 874-0035

Customers are encouraged to submit utility payments via one of the following:

• U.S. Postal Service
• Dropbox (Located at City Hall and Public Works) – Documentation will be posted at the
front door of the City Hall location
• Online via the City’s Website at callawayfl.merchanttransact.com
• Pay by phone at (850) 871-6000
• Online Banking via your Personal Account

Additional Information:

• Utility Bills will continue as normal.
• The City is waiving Late Fees for the month of April. Determinations of extending the
waiver will be made each month.
• No shutoffs for March and April, HOWEVER, bills will still be due.
• The City does not accept payment plans.

Commission Meeting:

• Agendas will be posted the Friday before each regular meeting.
• Any questions or comments can be directed to the City Clerk at
jpeters@cityofcallaway.com and will be addressed at the meeting.
• Public seating will be limited to the first 10 people.
• Health checks will be conducted at the entrance by the Callaway Fire Dept.
