USPS Veterans Day Holiday Schedule 2024
USPS Says: No Mail Delivery, All Post Offices Closed
NORTH FLORIDA – In honor of Veterans Day, all USPS postal facilities will close for retail transactions on Monday, November 11, 2024. There will be no mail delivery for residential or business addresses.
While regular mail services will not be available, Priority Mail Express will still operate, providing urgent deliveries on November 11 as USPS continues this service 365 days a year. Regular deliveries and collections will resume on Tuesday, November 12.
For those needing stamps or other postal items, these are available at most grocery, pharmacy, and convenience stores. Additionally, USPS’s online services at www.usps.com are available 24/7. Through the website, customers can access a wide range of services, including tracking packages, purchasing postage, finding USPS locations, and scheduling pickups.
The United States Postal Service is an independent federal establishment, mandated to be self-financing and to serve every American community through the affordable, reliable and secure delivery of mail and packages to nearly 169 million addresses six and often seven days a week. Overseen by a bipartisan Board of Governors, the Postal Service is implementing a 10-year transformation plan, Delivering for America, to modernize the postal network, restore long-term financial sustainability, dramatically improve service across all mail and shipping categories, and maintain the organization as one of America’s most valued and trusted brands.
The Postal Service generally receives no tax dollars for operating expenses and relies on the sale of postage, products and services to fund its operations.
