Honoring First Responders 2024

CHAMBER OF COMMERCE HONORS LOCAL FIRST RESPONDERS

Bay County, FL – The Bay County Chamber of Commerce and Tyndall Federal Credit Union will host the Annual First Responders Appreciation Luncheon. The sold-out event will take place on Thursday, October 24 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at FSU Panama City.

The keynote speaker will be Mark McQueen, Superintendent of the Bay District Schools. As a retired U.S. Army Major General & former Panama City Manager, McQueen is now focused on empowering teachers, supporting students, & fostering collaboration. With a strong belief in the importance of reading as a foundation for success, McQueen is dedicated to creating an environment where both educators & students can thrive. His commitment to public service & education makes him a dynamic leader in our beautiful Bay County.

Also during this event, the Chamber will honor multiple First Responders from each discipline of emergency services (Fire, EMS, Law Enforcement, Communications/Dispatch and Lifeguard) with special awards for their outstanding service. A tribute video sponsored by Williams Communications and WMBB-TV will be shown, thanking First Responders for their commitment and sacrifice. A commemorative coin will be given to every First Responder in Bay County to thank them for their service. The coins are sponsored by Gulf Coast State College and HCA Florida Gulf Coast.
