Bay County, Florida – Bay District has released the following information about providing meals to all school-aged children in Bay County. Students must be present to receive meal.

Parents:

As you can imagine, determining a process by which to deliver meals throughout the district is a challenging task! We would like to thank our Transportation team and the staff at Chartwells for working so hard to come up with this plan and we look forward to being able to deliver meals, Monday-Friday, during this time of closure.

To find a bus stop where meals will be delivered, please do the following:

1. Find the name of the elementary school closest to you

2. Click that button

3. Look at the route sheets to find something close to your home.

Please note the following:

1. ESE routes for MKL have been absorbed into all of the routes. If your student rides a special needs bus to MKL, find the name of the elementary school closest to you for an idea of what time the bus will be coming to you. If the bus stops at your home normally, it will stop there with meals but someone will have to be outside to get them off the bus.

2. The buses will wait for a minute or two at each stop but most move on to stay on schedule.

3. Students present will be given bags that contain breakfast, lunch and dinner.

4. Per USDA rules, students must be present.

Para encontrar una parada de autobús donde se entreguen las comidas, haga lo siguiente:

1. Las rutas ESE para MKL se han absorbido en todas las rutas. Si su estudiante viaja en un autobús con necesidades especiales a MKL, busque el nombre de la escuela primaria más cercana a usted para tener una idea de a qué hora llegará el autobús. Si el autobús se detiene en su casa normalmente, se detendrá allí con las comidas, pero alguien tendrá que estar afuera para bajar del autobús.
2. Los autobuses esperarán uno o dos minutos en cada parada, pero la mayoría continúa para cumplir con el horario.
3. Los estudiantes presentes recibirán bolsas que contienen desayuno, almuerzo y cena. Según las reglas del USDA, los estudiantes deben estar presentes.
