Bayway Day Returns to Bay County

Bay County Transit to Host Second Annual “Bayway Day”

Event encourages community engagement and celebration of public transit.

Panama City, FL – Bayway Transit is thrilled to announce the second annual “Bayway Day,” a fun event dedicated to celebrating the community and increasing awareness of public transit. This year’s event will be held on Friday, September 20 from 8 a.m. – 1 p.m. at the Gulf Coast State College transfer point (5230 W HWY 98), directly across from Carl Gray Park and conveniently located between the GCSC and Florida State University Panama City campuses.

Over the last few years, Bayway has modernized its services, expanded routes, and become a more accessible and environmentally friendly transportation option. In honor of Bayway Day, all community members are invited to hop on-board a bus free of charge and experience the quality of the transit system for themselves.

“We are excited to bring the Bayway Day celebrations back for another year, this time with even more community partnerships and involvement,” said Lamar Hobbs, Bay County Transit Programs Administrator. “We take great pride in offering convenient and affordable transportation that connects Bay County’s residents and visitors. This event is our way of bringing together the community, showing appreciation to those who have supported our growth, and sharing the benefits of Bayway with individuals who may be interested in learning more.”
