Summer’s Finest: Three Must-See Exhibitions Debut at Center for the Arts This August
PANAMA CITY, FL – August brings three exciting new exhibitions to the galleries of the Center for the Arts. The Main Gallery features a collection of works by the late artist Yu Tian Cheu. Local artist Nikki Bonnette brings scenes of New Orleans nightlife to the Miller Gallery in her exhibition, NOLA Nights, and Andrew Araujo is featured in the Spotlight Gallery. The public is invited to the opening reception on Friday, August 2 from 5-7pm. These exhibits will be on display through August 31.
Main Gallery: A tribute to the late artist Yu Tian Cheu, showcasing his profound traditional Chinese ink paintings.
Miller Gallery: Local talent Nikki Bonnette presents “NOLA Nights,” capturing the vibrant nightlife of New Orleans in stunning photographs.
🎨 Spotlight Gallery: Andrew Araujo’s “For My Brother,” an abstract journey of storytelling and community through art.
The public is invited to the opening reception on Friday, August 2 from 5-7pm at the Center for the Arts. Visitors can meet the artists and their families in the galleries over light hors d’oeuvres during this free event.
The Center for the Arts is open Tuesday–Thursday 10am–5pm, Friday 10am-7pm, and Saturday 10am-5pm.

Bay Arts Alliance
Since 1978, Bay Arts Alliance has served as the local arts agency for Bay County and provides opportunities for cultural enrichment through broad based educational experiences, music and arts programs, exhibitions, and events. Bay Arts Alliance has brought countless national touring performances to the area and provides many cultural opportunities for Bay County schools and non-profit organizations.
Panama City Center for the Arts
Panama City Center for the Arts in downtown Panama City is housed in the beautiful 1925 historic City Hall building. Panama City Center for the Arts is managed by Bay Arts Alliance. In the Center for the Arts, Bay Arts Alliance provides visitors and the local community with creative enrichment through monthly art shows and exhibitions, films, concerts, educational art classes for all ages, and special focus classes for Bay County school trips. The facility and grounds are under the ownership of the City of Panama City.
