FDOT Traffic Advisory for Bay and Jackson Counties

Chipley, FL – Drivers will encounter traffic disruptions on the following state roads in Bay and Jackson counties as crews perform construction and maintenance activities.

Bay County:

·         U.S. 98 west of Tyndall Drive-Airey Avenue to east of Louisiana Avenue – U.S. 98 drivers may encounter intermittent lane closures, between Tyndall Drive-Airey Avenue and Louisiana Avenue, through Friday, May 31.

·         U.S. 231 Resurfacing from County Road 2301 to north of Campflowers Road – Drivers will encounter intermittent southbound outside lane closures Monday, April 29 through Friday, May 3 from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. for paving operations.

Jackson County:

• U.S. 90 Resurfacing from Chipola River Bridge to east of S.R. 71 South – Motorists will encounter intermittent westbound lane closures Monday, April 29 through Friday, May 3 from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. for construction activities.

All planned construction activities are weather dependent and may be rescheduled in the event of inclement weather. Drivers are reminded to pay attention to the reduced speed limit when traveling through the construction area, to watch for construction equipment entering and leaving the roadway, and to use caution when driving through the work zone. Speeding fines double when workers are present.
