Bay County Chamber Military Affairs Committee Spreads Holiday Cheer to Sims Veterans’ Nursing Home Residents
Panama City, Florida – In the spirit of giving and honoring our nation’s heroes, the Bay County Chamber Military Affairs Committee (MAC) will deliver their annual Christmas gift donations to the residents of Sims Veterans’ Nursing Home on Wednesday, December 13 at 2:30 p.m.
“We are honored to contribute to the well-being and happiness of the residents at Sims Veterans’ Nursing Home, especially during this special time of year,” said Garrett Anderson, Chair of the Bay County Chamber Military Affairs Committee. “Our veterans have selflessly dedicated themselves to protecting our freedom, and this is a small token of our immense appreciation.”
MAC members made generous donations to show their appreciation for veterans during the holidays by fulfilling items on the veterans’ wish lists. Donations included My Pillows, gift cards, hydration backpacks for disabled veterans, and various team hats along with clothing, blankets, and personal care items.
The Bay County Chamber is proud to lead this initiative in such a giving community. This year’s donations will be delivered to the nursing home on Wednesday, December 13 at 2:30 p.m.
Since 1946, the Military Affairs Committee has served as the liaison between the civilian and the military community. The purpose of MAC is to promote the development of Bay County’s military community, defined as the military installations located in Bay County, the military and the civilian personnel assigned to those installations and their departments.
