Lane Closures Planned for State Road 79 in Bay County

Chipley, Fla. – State Road (S.R) 79 northbound traffic will be reduced to one lane, from the U.S. 98 intersection to south of Escanaba Drive, Thursday, Aug. 24 through Friday, Sept. 15. Crews will be performing storm drainage, curb and gutter, and sidewalk work.

In addition, the inside left turn lane from U.S. 98 eastbound to S.R. 79 northbound will be closed. The outside left turn lane will remain open.

All activities are weather dependent and may be delayed or rescheduled in the event of inclement weather. Drivers are reminded to use caution, especially at night, when traveling through a work zone and to watch for construction workers and equipment entering and exiting the roadway.
