Salute to Freedom event, World’s Greatest Baby Shower, and Your Favorite Auntie on The Mix

The Mix

Jennifer Vigil, the CEO of Destination Panama City, joined The Mix to talk about the Salute to Freedom event happening on July 4th, beginning at 2:00 pm. It will be a day of music, patriotism, and fun to celebrate the birth of our Great Nation! This is a free family-friendly event is open to the public. 

The schedule can be found below:

• 2:00 pm – The Salute to Freedom Festival kicks off with vendors, food trucks, a DJ, a bounce house, water activities, and lawn games at the Destination Panama City Visitor’s Center Bayside Stage at 101 W. Beach Drive. There is something for everyone!
• 3:00 pm – Flip Flop Republic takes the stage as you continue to enjoy the sights, sounds, and smells of freedom, with plenty to eat and plenty to peruse.
• 5:00 pm – A delightful downtown Panama City parade will start at 8th Street heading south on Harrison Avenue, right (west) on 4th St., and ending at Oak Ave. The fun continues at the Destination Panama City Visitor’s Center Bayside Stage where Sons of Saints will be jammin’ with all your high-energy favorites.
• 7:30 pm – Headliner, Dozzi, a dynamic trio of Australian sisters, is unlike any other girl group on the country music scene. Having performed in Nashville at popular venues such as Dierks Bentley’s Whiskey Row and Blake Shelton’s Ole Red, the two-time People’s Choice Award winners are sure to light up the stage as we wait for fireworks to light up the sky.
• 9:30 pm – Settle in on your picnic blanket or chairs at the Visitors Center #LovePCLawn for the best view in town during our spectacular fireworks display sprawling across the beautiful St. Andrews Bay.

The Mix

Healthy Start will be hosting the World’s Greatest Baby Shower event this Friday, June 24th. This is a free community event and is for anyone who is pregnant or has had a baby within the last six months. There will be community resources, goodies & giveaways, games, a photo booth, and a guest speaker.

June is national DJ month, and in honor of the DJs, disc jockeys, and hosts that bring great music to the radio. We have Your Favorite Auntie from Urban AC which airs Sunday nights from 7 pm to 10 pm. We talked about how she got started in radio, what Urban AC is about, and where you can find it every Sunday night.
