The NWRLS Joins The Mix
Segment 1: Justice on the Block - Free Legal Help
The Mix
Sarah Burris and Khelsea Rantanen from the Northwest Regional Library System joined The Mix to talk about an event coming up next week. The Bay County Law Library is partnering with Legal Services of North Florida to host a free Disaster Legal Clinic on Wednesday, March 16th, 2022. You can receive legal help for title clearing, probate, contractor disputes and liens, insurance coverage disputes, denial of repair assistance, family law issues, and much more. All of that information can be found at nwrls.com on the events calendar.
Segment 2: Digital Media Co-Lab Space
The Mix
Sarah Burris talked about the Bay County Public Library’s brand new digital media co-lab space. It will be opening up in April and does not require a library card. You will also be able to “Book-A-Librarian” for beginner-level classes on Adobe Premiere Elements, learn how to repair damaged photographs, and much more. This lab will be at the Bay County Public Library headquarters at 898 W 11th Street, Panama City.
Segment 3: Newspaper Access and Customer Satisfaction Survey
The Mix
The NWRLS has an array of programming, events, and resources that you can use while at the library and access at home. Two of them would be the sponsored subscription access to all patrons to include WashingtonPost.com and The Wall Street Journal online available with your library card.
To create your accounts with WashingtonPost.com and The Wall Street Journal online, visit the Northwest Regional Library System website at www.nwrls.com. Select the “Books & Research” tab and then the “Databases” page. Login with your library card number to be able to create an account for free trial access and this can be renewed until the grant period is over in September 2022.
More Information
The NWRLS is also running the Library Customer Satisfaction Survey until next month. The survey is available online and in paper form in each library location. Results from the survey will be used in the development of the library’s next Long-Range Plan. Click to view the online survey link.
