Warrior Beach Retreat Happening September 7th thru the 13th

Linda and Jonathan Cope joined The Mix to talk about the upcoming Warrior Beach Retreat happening September 7th – 13th. Linda is the Founder and President of Warrior Beach Retreat after her own son was severely injured by an IED blast in Bagdad on November 12th, 2006. 

Warrior Beach Retreat, Inc, is a nonprofit organization that makes it possible for combat wounded soldiers of the Iraq and Afghanistan tours and their spouses/caregivers to spend an entire week away at our relaxing beach retreat here at Panama City Beach, Fl.

This year, there will be a parade on September 9th and Linda asks that people line the streets to show support for our military Veterans. The parade route can be found here, www.warriorbeachretreat.org. Leading the parade this year will be 5 Vietnam Veterans, too! The parade escort will depart at 4:00 PM on THURSDAY, Sept 9th from the Sheraton Panama City Beach Golf & Spa Resort.  There will be a private ceremony for the heroes and their loved ones with Congressman Neal Dunn as the speaker at Rodeo’s Steak Pit & Seafood Restaurant after the parade has ended.
