Lara Herter Joins The Mix to Talk About Continuing Education Courses at GCSC

The Mix

Lara Herter, the Program Coordinator for Business & Community Education and Continuing Education joined The Mix to talk about Education Encore classes coming up this fall. Education Encore is offered by Continuing Education at Gulf Coast State College and provides non-credit enrichment education classes on a variety of topics for active and senior adults.

The learning environment is fun and stress-free while offering diversity, insight, and wisdom. There are certificates that will be given out at the end of each class that you can take home as well. There are a variety of classes that can be taken for personal enrichment or professional development, Lara says.  Including computer classes, Microsoft excel, quick books, language, and health classes. 

Opportunities for Businesses

There are also business opportunities that businesses around the community can utilize. Lara said that there are computer skills, soft skills, public speaking, customer service skills, and orientations for businesses. They also can do these services on-site at a specific business rather than at the college.
