Stephen from NWRLS Joined The Mix to Talk About Events at the Library
Segment 1:
Career Online High School
Stephen Efird from the Northwest Regional Library System joined Caleb Jordan and Dana Erskine to talk about upcoming events happening at the library this month. The biggest thing happening was the Career Online High School that they are doing right now. People can sign up and apply for that scholarship on NWRLS.com. Stephen talks about the requirements to apply for the program and how to do that.
Segment 2:
Program’s at NWRLS
Stephen talked about how the library is doing virtual programming due to the pandemic. He talked about all the great programming they are doing currently including how to make spy ink, underwater telescopes, and even exploding popsicles. There is also programming on origami folding and the different themes going on each month.
There are also the art history programs going on that Sarah Burris host and is live through Zoom once a month. Currently, there are two art exhibits happening at the Bay County Public Library, as well. Stephen mentioned the mobile library as well that people can utilize. Segment 3: BCPL Unstacked
BCPL Unstacked
Stephen also talked about their podcast that he and Sarah Burris host called the Bay County Public Library Unstacked (BCPL.) There are two topics, the first would be library news, what to read and watch, etc. The second topic would be their author series where they have various authors on the podcast. Stephen talked about a few authors, including one that left Caleb and Dana speechless! Listen above to see what spooky things are happening.
