José Andrés of World Kitchen In Bahamas
Panama City, Florida – As you may remember, WKGC 90.7 FM was the first to speak with Chef José Andrés after Hurricane Michael made landfall in October 2018, while he was at the Bay County Emergency Operations Center.
Chef José Andrés founded an organization called World Central Kitchen in 2010. World Central Kitchen is a not-for-profit non-governmental organization devoted to providing meals in the wake of natural disasters. As you may recall they served several hundred thousand meals after Michael made landfall in Bay County last year.
As of this morning, Chef José had forward deployed with his team to the Bahama’s to help after Hurricane Dorian passes by. He posted this video update this morning as Hurricane Dorian was about to landfall, some 80 miles north of his location.
