State of Emergency Extended by Florida Governor
Tallahassee, Florida – Governor Ron DeSantis signed executive order 19-98 (Emergency Management – Extension of Executive Order 18-276) to continue to extend the State of Emergency for the following counties: Okaloosa, Walton, Holmes, Washington, Bay, Jackson, Calhoun, Gulf, Gadsden, Liberty, Franklin, Leon, Wakulla and Jefferson Counties following Hurricane Michael landfall in Bay County last October.
The order allows the Director of the Florida Emergency Management to continue the execute the State’s Comprehensive Emergency Management Plan and other response, recovery, and mitigation plans necessary to cope with the emergency.
