The Morning Mix 6-14-17

Lisa and Michelle from the Panama City Rescue Mission stopped by the show today to talk about the many great things that the Panama City Rescue Mission offers to the community.  Today they wanted to highlight an event that started on June 12, 2017 the Klothes For Kids program.  Klothes for Kids is a back-to-school ministry that provides gently used school uniforms including solid color polos, blue jeans, khaki and navy pants, shorts and skirts, shoes, belts, new socks and underwear, and school supplies.  This service is for low-income families, single parent households, or households where the head of the household has lost a job, and families with a disabled member or foster children.  This service is made possible through donations from the community.  Distribution of school uniforms, shoes, belts, underwear, and socks will be on  Friday, August 11 and Saturday, August 12 by appointment only for qualified families.  Donations may be dropped off at the Panama City Rescue Mission, Gulf Power, Innovations Federal Credit Union and the Downtown Bargain Center on 6th Street in Panama City.  Visit the Panama City Rescue Mission website for more details.
