Strong Storms Possible Later Today (2-7-17)

UPDATE: 2:15pm CDT    Strong storms are expected this evening for NW Florida, although it appears the tornado threat will lessen with time. The line of storms will move past the panhandle area late this evening.

From the National Weather Service in Tallahassee, Florida. This office covers the majority of the WKGC listening area.

“1pm EST: Timing update for thunderstorms this evening. Main threats will be strong winds and large hail.”

There is possibility that a Tornado Watch will be issued later today for WKGC listening area, as the Storm Prediction Center has highlighted the parts of the area in a discussion.   (Link to SPC)
